At Kickstarter, developers raise money for a smart cat robot called Ebo
What is it?
It is a small ball with LED-display, which imitates the eyes and different emotions of the robot. Ebo is designed to entertain cats, especially kittens, who have even more energy.
The animal can chase the robot, play with a rope or pen that is attached to the body, or even with a laser – Ebo also has one. Like the robot vacuum cleaner, it can scan a room and bypass obstacles.
Also on the case, there are speakers and a camera, which displays the picture on your smartphone. Therefore, at any time the owner can see what the cat does, “talk” to the pet or take control of the robot in their hands.
The built-in battery will last for 2 hours, after which the robot will return to the charging station itself.
Money for a cat’s robot is being collected at the Kickstarter site. The cost of the basic version is $158. There is also a Pro-version that uses AI to analyze the cat’s behavior and mood for $198.
Initially, the developers planned to collect a little more than $5000 for production, but the orders have already been collected for almost $200 000. The fundraising will end at the end of December.
